help P@TC serve the disadvantaged Youth in our community by showing your support today!

Photography at the Center, (P@TC), was established and incorporated as a 501(c)(3) charitable organization in October of 2010.
P@TC serves community youth who, in disadvantaged socioeconomic circumstances, are underrepresented in the visual arts. Educational programming is developed with a goal of engaging young people ages 10-18 through group workshops and individual instruction. Together, our arts learners discover how photography enables them to visually express themselves and communicate their ideas. Instruction and guidance, in groups and individually, help create common interests and promote conversation in and out of class, at school and home. We believe this enriches the arts learning experience and fosters further exploration of ideas among our teaching artists, students and the community.
P@TC depends in large part on donations for support. Your generosity is vital to P@TC as it continues to grow and succeed in its mission to bring the extraordinary power of photography to all.
"I choose to give to (or support) Photography at the Center because..."having access to the center could be a pivotal experience for a young person who would otherwise miss out on the opportunity to explore the medium. Many years ago I tagged along with a friend to a Film In The Cities photography class for teenagers. It was my first time in a darkroom and watching an image appear in the developer tray "blew me away" - I hope, by donating to the center, another young person might experience the exhilarating magic of photography! - Patricia
I choose to support Photography at the Center because the Center is a wonderful resource for all levels of photographers. The Center's constant effort to bring to the community the best photographic shows, their efforts to involve the participation of the community in those shows and the educational programs they offer are amazing. - Thomas
I choose to support Photography at the Center Because it allows me to help the children open their eyes and see life! - Richard
"I know my contribution will immediately be put to use and bring well thought-out photography programs to underserved, local kids. My contribution provides a unique opportunity to support a "hands-on" visual arts experience that will make learning a valuable new skill fun. The various contribution options - one time donation, sustaining and "sponsor a student" allow for individualized levels of involvement and support for classes and programs that may possibly lead the participant to a life long interest in photography." - Tom
I believe my contributions help young people experience the amazing world of photography and allows them to express themselves in a creative and productive fashion. The craft of photography transcends all barriers allowing students to see the world through a different lens. Our programs provide technical know how and mentoring to students as they explore a world previously unknown to them. Support of our programs is an investment in the youth in our community. - Hal
"I choose to support Photography at the Center because it can provide youth with a live long appreciation for art through the learning and application of the discipline while building their self-confidence and self-esteem while offering them the ability to become an expert in the field and to share their knowledge with others." - Herman
"I choose to support Photography at the Center because so many have supported me. It feels good to give back." - Debra
“I choose to support Photography at the Center because I believe strongly in its mission and also applaud its commitment to working collaboratively with other non-profits that work with underserved populations. The camera provides a tool for developing and improving mathematical skills and writing skills as well as increasing student's self confidence. They learn first hand that photography is often the forerunner to social change.” - Laura
